Job Fair

Tomorrow, November 4th, there is a National Job Fair in Smryna, TN.  I'll put the link at the bottom so those of you that are interested can check it out.  Job Fairs have always proven to be very challenging for me.  I have yet to have any success with one; but, I keep trying anyway.  I guess I struggle in the "how" to market myself category. 

I know the proper way to dress for a job fair - basic business dress, comfortable shoes (lots of walking), hair neat and clean, ladies don't overdo the makeup or jewelry.  Make sure to have plenty of resumes on hand.  Good strong hand shake - men please don't do wimpy hand shakes with a woman.  Here's the clincher - have your 2 minute elevator speech ready to go.  Guess what I'm working on today!  I struggle here...I just don't know how to market myself.  I know my strengths and weaknesses, and I know you don't want to talk about yourself...big turn off.  So, while my resumes are printing, I'm googling "elevator speech."  Lots of good hits.
